Parent Organization: Illini Union Student Programs and Activities Office
The purpose of TASC shall be to build a family-like community at the University of Illinois that understands Taiwanese culture and appreciates Taiwanese American and Asian American identity through social and educational activities. TASC shall strive to achieve its purpose through the following:
- Organizing campus events that promote knowledge of Taiwanese culture or Taiwanese American and Asian American awareness.
- Strengthening and supporting the greater Taiwanese American student community, especially through active involvement in the Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Students Association (ITASA) and other Taiwanese organizations on campus.
- Strengthening the campus Asian Pacific American (APA) community through active involvement in the Asian Pacific American Coalition (APAC) and supporting other campus organizations.
- Building an involved, family-like community that empowers its members through growth and leadership on this campus on the above principles by promoting, preserving, educating, and celebrating Taiwanese American culture.
